Start with the purpose
A campaign title should tell supporters what the fundraiser concerns. The description can explain the project, how contributions support it and the intended outcome. A target amount gives context, but avoid presenting an expected result as something already achieved.
Set contribution boundaries
Choose the minimum, maximum and target in the campaign settings. Suggested amounts can help supporters begin, while a custom amount lets them contribute within the limits. Make the allowed range visible beside the amount field so the supporter understands any validation message.
Check the campaign period
The start and expiry dates define when the campaign is available. The page should give a useful explanation if it has not started or has ended. A date-bound campaign should not silently allow a new request after its configured period.
Count confirmed contributions
A payment request and a received contribution are different events. Campaign progress should follow confirmed contributions, not every checkout opened by a supporter. Keep the payment reference so questions about a donation can be investigated. The demo campaign uses sample progress and does not collect live donations.
